I got these books because they were free for plus members and I needed something to listen to. I have thoroughly loved almost every minute. Will Wight presents us with a uniquely humble character with Lindon, humble due not to stature or appearances but to confidence and spiritual power.

As far as the rules of the world, the Sacred Arts are a very interesting and complex way to present a magical aspect. It gives you so much to learn and think about and has so many realms of possibility. Just when you think you’ve reached the limit, there is more still to come.

That mimics the motion of the story. The plot moves so that doors are always closing and opening simultaneously, keeping you intrigued and ready for more progress by each of the characters. In addition to that, Will Wight’s humor is thoroughly played upon in the later books, adding bloopers sections at the end of each one, and in his character of Eithen.

The story is clean enough for kids but interesting and complex enough for all ages to enjoy. The cast is diverse in almost every way you could imagine, with characters having vastly different attitudes, strengths and weaknesses. Internal conflict is illustrated beautifully in the advancement to various stages of the Sacred arts. Overall, I absolutely loved this series.
