I admit it. I decided to get this audiobook because of who was reading it, not because I knew the author, and now I’m glad I did.
For me, this book ticks all of the right boxes. I’m a big science fiction fan. I also love speculative fiction, those what if books. Then there is the action. Finally, there is comes the mystery and the grand question, “what is real?”
Beyond the story, the performance was incredible. The story is written in the first person view of the two main characters. Both characters narrate it. Having two actors, each voicing one character really carries the story. You hear each character tell their side of the story in their own voice.
BTW, I now have a new author to follow!
