I personally hate it when they play music with the dialogue, if I wanted that I’d watch a movie. Movies use music to heighten a particular feeling or emotional response. But I’m listening to an audio book.
I want the narrator/voice actor to guide my imagination and emotions in the direction the author intended and let my imagination go to work. I listen to audio books because I may be to busy, or both hands are involved in something. Meaning that I want to “feel” like I’m reading that book, not watching a video based on it.
STOP USING MUSIC please.
