KSR’s climate emergency / terrorism thriller / novel of ideas is incredibly compelling, though a bit slow-moving, on the printed page. Sadly, for someone who listens to audio books constantly, the audio production of Ministry is criminally bad. Terrible narrators who mispronounce and don’t understand tonal emphasis or exactly what is is they’re reading. I gave up after a few hours and bought the hardcover and am relieved to find I’m comfortably back in Kim Stanley Robinson’s capable voice and hands.
