I like T.L. Payne’s writing and have listened to a lot of Kevin Pierce narrated books. I have to admit I wish there were a different narrator. Kevin is good but the main characters are women so why not a female narrator? I like Kevin’s reading work but after a while they blend together. I liked the premise of the series and have often imagined what would people do in this scenario of being far away from home in a disaster. I am not sure if I love the direction of the book. I don’t mind a “government are the bad guys” story but I think it dominates a bit too much. I enjoy when stories get into survival tips on how to be self sufficient and when characters are in depth and relationships develop. All that being said I will probably listen to the next book because I think this author is great.
