Holy $hit, Way to Leave a Girl Hangin…
WOWZERS, this book had me searching out quiet time to listen to it…It instantly had me hooked and wanting more…. This is a new author for me, and I can honestly say she didn’t disappoint and I look forward to seeing what else she comes up with!!
Between “South-Side” and “The Golden Boys”, this first book is incredibly filled with action, explosive chemistry, angst, laughs, and tears. Top it off with the added input from Wink “P” Pandora, this gossip mill offers a side show view abt the couple, as to what others are seeing. Don’t know if I can wait to see where these two go what the boys have to offer…May have to sneak a peek and start reading on the next book!!
West, Dane and Sterling are the Kings of the school Cypress Prep which in turn rule the school. They literally have everybody kneeling at their feet and answering their beck and call. Then enters the new girl and she is instantly on West’s list. He hates everything about her and she has no clue as to why which instantly pisses her off, which sets her off, 0 to 100 in a sec and the more dodging he does, the hotter she gets.
Her life circumstances have put her through more than any child/girl should be at her age. She keeps taking shit storm after shit storm all while doing her best to keep a smile on her face! His 360’s is enough for anyone to want to knock his block off, however she lets him in and it bites her in the butt on more than one occasion….Ending the book like that however, is/was soo unfair…Audio isn’t out for book 2 yet, but like I said above, I maybe finding myself reading ahead!!
Let’s talk Narration!!! Neill Thorne, Lessa Lamb & Sarah Puckett who knocked this one out of the park, hell out of the city.. They not only brought West, South-Side, the boys and Pandora to life, but made you feel like you were in the book right there with the crew. I appreciate them doing their homework and doing these characters justice!! Each character was spot on with their personality and shining at the right time with the right voice. I enjoy narrators with the talent to be able to change their voice, it really makes each character have their own sass!!
