I’m so glad for the prequel,it does start where the prequel ends. There is so much happening in this series you will really need to pay attention. There’s Ember dealing with the death of her father and her Mom in a coma, as well as a somewhat confused grandmother.
There’s time travellers, vampires and shifters , Ember doesn’t remember the past and seemingly repeats various scenarios in the past and the future. She needs to find out what is happening with her life, is she hallucinating or is this real. So many questions and intrigue that it keeps your interest and will have you wanting more. There is quite a cliffhanger here and I can’t wait for the story to continue.
The characters are fascinating. The evil MacGregor trying to get Ember; the dashing Rane who claims he will protect her and Dustin, Rane’s second in command and on top of these memorable people is the secretive Finn who clearly knows her mother and grandmother, where and who are these people this book is like an onion that slowly unravels its layers.
The narrators are both ones that I love, so I had to hear this audiobook! Amazing
Job done by these very professional voice actors. You need to get it; it’s really exciting and full of secrets that need to be found again and again as Ember finds just how important she is and what’s at stake in this book. Can’t wait for the next book?
