When Milo’s sister passes away he becomes guardian to her beautiful little girl Sophia. But just before his sister passes on she tells him that she wants Sophia’s father to be in her life as co-parent. This is a real curveball for Milo when he discovers that Eric has a bit of a reputation as a playboy. Although Milo tries hard to makes things difficult for Eric, he won’t be deterred as he’s desperate to get to know his baby girl. I really enjoyed watching their relationship turn from unwanted co-parent to friends and then to lovers. It was beautiful watching Eric help Milo step into the life he wants to live, and watch Milo give Eric a second chance at having a secure, happy, and loving family life. The book is a joy to listen to as the story is fantastic and the narrator does an excellent job at bringing the characters to life.
