A good percentage of the book is dedicated to a dungeon dive, though I think most of these reviewers are greatly over exaggerating the amount of time that’s dedicated to “fighting ants” some people are also complaining about the drama, I think the drama is fine. Its a Travis Bagwell awaken online book, you should come to expect a little bit of familial drama. But the criticism isn’t unjustified wholly. It does have a weaker first half then most of Travis Bagwell’s other entries.
That being said this book is definitely a lot stronger it’s later parts. Without spoiling too much, let’s just say that those journal entries at the beginning of every chapter build up to a pretty interesting revelation. Stick with it I think it pays off in the end
