This book helped me to identify areas of spiritual warfare in my life that I did not know or properly identify before. This book helped me be able to name and pray for strength against spiritual attacks. My favorite thing, I think, is knowing again that the name of Jesus is the most powerful weapon we have. Also, seeing all the different ways the devil tries to get a foothold in our life in seemingly miniscule and unimportant ways, is eye opening. I feel empowered to know that the attacks I feel are not just human weakness, but could also be spiritual attacks. My strength is in Jesus, my hope is in Jesus, in Jesus I place my trust.

The narrator does some silly voices, not intentionally silly, but in an attempt to speak in the “voice” of the saints. Sometimes they made me laugh. I did not feel that they distracted from the intentions of the book, but could see how someone like my husband would not be able to handle listening to it. Good thing I just bought the paperback.

Almost halfway through listening, I knew I needed to have this book in my hands to mark, highlight, copy on little papers for my personal study, and so I can accurately share the stories with family and friends.

There is a part of the story of Saint Frances that caused my jaw to drop and tears to fall as I was made most aware of the Love of Jesus, and how he cares for each of us.

I recommend this book heartily. I will also be looking to see what other books he has written. I shsrecparys of this book with my older children. I felt it was helpful to open their minds to the Spiritual battle in a way that showed victory through Christ is possible.
