I want to like this book

I’ve been a fan of this series and each of the spin offs to give more depth to the characters. I LOVE how each character grows and becomes a better person. Except Finn from this series.

I just feel like this book could’ve been 2 books or a lot of it taken out between the three books. It’s taken me better part of 3 months to finish this one book because of how much of a drag this book was.
I want more books about Jason and the twilight throne and no more of Finn and his story unfortunately.
