I admit it. I grade cultivation novels on a curve. I enjoy the genre enough to overlook the amateur writing and lack of editing. This book, however comes much closer to a professional standard, and as a result it is probably the best cultivation novel I’ve found so far. In particular, I was grateful for the MC, who is NOT stupid, listens to warnings, and makes clever plans. When he screws up, he does so realistically, making it much easier to immerse myself in the story. I will continue to follow this author’s work, and look forward to seeing their craft evolve in future offerings!
