Agent G is a badass assassin working for an organization called the International Refugee Society. One of 26 hand picked “letters,” he’s been mind-wiped and reconditioned with some cybernetic enhancements to be able to kill without hesitation or guilt. I was really sucked in by the character of G. He’s a hardened assassin but is plagued by fleeting dreams of a past life the Society promises to restore when he’s done serving his 10 year contract. I also loved the cyber-punk feel of the story with touches of advanced technology and some really great spy gadgets. Lots of great fast-paced action. I loved all the little nods to classic Arnold like Terminator and Total Recall.

The dialogue is fantastic. I love when dialogue transcends the page and feels like real conversation, and CT Phipps is great at it. The audio format really made the dialogue shine. Our family is all snark and movie quotes, and to see it done so well in a book was awesome.

There were some great twists and turns to the plot and by the time I got to the end I was happy I had book 2 queued up and ready to hit play.

The audio narration was fantastic. Jeffrey Kafer really brought Agent G and the various characters to life. He carried the story along well and his slightly gravelly voice gave the whole thing the perfect gritty ambiance.
