I’ve really been enjoying Archemi Online. The characters are well written and feel like real people, with Hector being a well rounded protagonist, even if he has a love of puns, lol. Suri is a fantastically strong woman, and Karalti is very lovable, aside from being an awesomely powerful dragon! In fact, all of the main cast is very endearing, and even the side characters are entertaining and interesting, especially Vash.

As to the story, this particular book takes us to a new, much talked about kingdom, and has the team’s destined roles becoming clearer by the chapter. I won’t say it wasn’t a little predictable at points, but this is a fantasy story at its core, and tropes will be tropes. All in all, a very well written adventure, and one I can’t wait to hear the next part of! A side note, though, to address reviews for other parts of the series complaining about the sex scenes. Yes, they are explicit, but this isn’t a kid’s book. However, I find that they’re written tastefully, and most of all, respectfully. And look, no offense to anyone, but if you’re the conservative type who thinks sex should only be between a man and a woman and only after marriage, then frankly those scenes are going to turn you away from this series. But if you’re more open to non traditional relationships, don’t let the reviews complaining about those scenes turn you off. And besides, there’s really only one or two scenes like that per book, so it’s mostly action anyway. Also, for the hardcore LitRPG fans, this series isn’t really very status/numbers heavy, just enough to give the flavor of a game.

Finally, Soundbooth Theater is wonderful as always! Absolutely no complaints with them! Great mixing, very cool music and sound effects, and they’re not overbearing at all. And of course, all the actors portray their characters with the usual talent and skill I have come to expect from SBT. I’ve never listened to any audiobooks they’ve done I haven’t enjoyed. And those end credits… ? They cracked me up! I hope they keep doing things like that for their newest releases, since they did something similar for ELLC book 5, and I enjoyed that too. Thanks guys, I’ll always enjoy SBT’s performances!
