I tried, i really did. I kept taking breaks and coming back to it.
It’s not poorly written or poorly narrated, Its simply that the main character is so cheesy and childish. The book says hes 20 years old but hes still getting into fights with his mom about what he can and cant do with his life. And just his general speech and demeanor is so adolescent that i had to stop. I’m sorry. The story is interesting, it really is.. but i just cant.
The main character is basically the opposite of the book deathlord, or way of the shamen. Its something i just cant get past..
Someone who doesnt mind so much may like it though.
