This series is hands down, one of Erin Nicholas’ best! Absolutely love the characters and the fact that you get to continue this family’s story where the last book left off. My only issue with this book were the readers. While the male reader had a pleasant voice, it was hard to be in they Bayous of Louisiana when the reader had such a strong Canadian accent. I do not believe that I have ever heard a Cajun use the word “aboot”. The female reader has a very child like voice so all of the female characters sounded like middle schoolers. Luckily this story carries itself because I think I would have had to turn it off as soon as the female reader started. Can not wait for all of the other books in this series come out on Audio so that I can listen to them again and again. So far it seems each book has had different readers so I am really excited to start book 3.
