Having read the book before and wanting to reread to get the new book, I tried out the audiobook. The narration is OK, strange verbal inflections at times. A couple of times, the narrator ended statements in a questioning inflection that did not match the context. There are also several mispronunciations that made me cringe. The worst is the word “trebuchet,” spoken with a hard T at the end, giving a jarring feeling to the word. The final this is the voice acting just isn’t fully there. Some of the characters sound odd in the narrator’s voice.
