Set in modern day Portland, this is a surprisingly fun book! I loved all the characters -they were very well written. David is feisty, caring and driven. Allan is surly at first but through time, we see his depth. The overall plot was unique. I didn’t give it a full 5 stars because there were a few times where I thought an idea or concept was repeated overly much. Overall, the story was refreshing, super fun, gave just the right amount of believability, and had bare minimum angst- which is a big bonus for me.
