You know how some series read as if the author is exhausted with the whole thing and just wants to finish the damned thing already? That’s DEFINITELY NOT the case here. Alexis Hall continues the story of Arden and Caspian with the same skill and attention of the first two books. Even though there is necessarily more angst as Arden, Caspian and Ellery navigate the demons of their pasts, still there are just soooo many laugh-out-loud moments! And, well, let’s just say George deserves an entire book of her own. Alexis Hall understands love and pain and hope and the worth of people not just despite their imperfections, but because of them.
