Story was good, and narrator did a good job. Unusual vampire story. Author could have done a little more research into the surroundings of the story. Neutrons in the cooling water, don’t think so, 1.8 R no problem for humans? may not be immediately deadly but not healthy to dunk you body into. And dumping over a hundred dead sailors into the sea on the way home during peacetime, I think the Navy would have had a few things to say about that captain. And other than the few ‘hero’s’ of the book the cowardice of the sailors would make any submariner hang their head in shame.
