This is excellent GameLit. I am usually skeptical of buying books when only one is released on Audible and there are so few ratings, but I am glad I took a chance on this one. (Jeff Hays as the narrator was the deciding factor). The interplay between the main character and his cat was entertaining. I also enjoyed the limited time to complete each floor, it created a unique element to the story. There were a few other novelties in this story I enjoyed as well, it wasn’t just the same repetitive troupes with a slightly different story/game mechanics. Novelty is important when you read/listen to as much GameLit as I do.

Ultimately I highly recommend this book. My only concern is none of the other books are in audio as I am writing this review; fortunately, there is one book already released in print and another soon to be released. This bodes well for the chances of a sequel.
