A vital academic look at the journey of ordinary men to genocidal killers. Insightful and horrifying at the same time. Unfortunately even the best documented account of a German police battalion is still missing much due no doubt to the perpetrators wanting to protect themselves and others from incrimination. however the author does a strong job of piecing together the journey and placing it within the context of the time, helping readers to better understand this terrible time in human history.
