Narration was worth taking the time to review. Steve Hendrickson’s narration is the reason I’m going to continue with this series. Other reviews comment on the narrator making Watson too whiney or having the characters run together. The narrator reflected Watson the way he was written, and yes, some of the lumberjacks run together but that’s because the plot was overcomplicated by the author with characters who are ultimately superfluous to the story. No one I know was alive in the 1800s to judge how a British accent sounded, but to my ear as an avid Holmesian, the narration of Sherlock’s character (as imagined by this author) is excellent and even improves the story.
