I really enjoy all the AO books. I wouldn’t say it’s the best writing in the whole world, they are all kinda just surface level cinematic fun, but that’s all that I ask of them. They deliver. I like the idea of journeying with different characters in the same universe. I’ll definitely jump onto book 3.
As a sidenote, I would love for the author to start up another character series that has a young, carefree, funny character. Some early teen doing the funny dumb stuff a kid of that age does in a mmorpg, especially if he stumbled onto great power in a game like AO. Kinda like a Shazam scenario but in-game. Maybe he pretends he’s much older when he befriends a girl player in her twenties.
