I was already a fan of this playful and steamy story as an e-book, and narrator Connor Brown delivered a engaging performance that made for an equally enjoyable listen.

Rivals for the same FBI job upon college graduation, prickly computer whiz Aiden and outgoing reformed hacker and tattoo artist Bryce are paired up for a semester-long class project and their verbal sparring crackles as hot as their mutual attraction simmering just underneath. Both are determined to succeed, even if – to Aiden’s annoyance and Bryce’s amusement – that means working together.

Theirs is a one step forward, two steps back relationship, as people-pleaser Bryce has his work cut out for him getting past Aiden’s emotional walls. All told, it’s a playful, salty, barb-filled, sweet and steamy ride full of feelings with a fitting HEA. And Bryce’s grandmother is a saucy delight… her quip about “the tricks I knew,” pure gold.

Get Ink’d is such a good series, with enough character overlap to nicely thread the stories together but still loose enough to easily be standalone reads. I received this free review copy audio book by request and have left this honest review voluntarily.
