Hopefully if you’re here it’s because you read Unsouled and want to know if the sequel holds up to its precessor. It does. The characters are diverse and expertly delivered by Travis’s excellent voice acting. The story picks up immediately where the previous left off and doesn’t stop. Compared to Unsouled, Soulsmith could be said to have “slow” moments, but these exist purely to educate us (and the protagonist) on the intricacies of the world’s magic and its sacred artists.

My only complaint is that occasionally it feels like too much is happening with sudden jumps between the action, but overall I enjoy the pacing, which is a refreshing break from the plodding pace Robert Jordan frequently sets (also reading WoT right now).
