First off, this book is great. There is such a good balance between story and commentary on the genre as a whole that mixes so perfectly.
I was invested in the story while laughing at how the rules were ‘manipulated’.
That being said, there’s a fine line with satire between too much brow-beating and just enough and this book does a perfect job. None of the comments go on for too long and all of them are justified. It is a perfect blend of comedy and adventure. Highly recommend this book.
