Ozzy is a “cunning man” – a necromancer of sorts, not quite a sorcerer but one who can use occult energy. He is hired by a distraught father to find a baby who ahs been snatched from its cradle. Except things aren’t as they seem.
I was shocked when Ozzy gets shot and buried (no big spoiler, its almost in the the blurb) since I had forgotten what the blurb had said. I was pleased when he was saved and almost expected his saviour. I thought, “Right! We know who the villain is! Lets get him.” Except it wasn’t who I thought it was. And then there was another twist and a double back and another twist. Like a good mystery novel, every time when you think you know where the plot is going you get blind-sided by a twist! I loved every moment of this book.
I’m definitely going to continue this series.
I received a free copy of this book and chose to write a review.
