It’s not for me, this half baked glorifying of the unscrupulous “in it for no.1” drunk loner. There’s just nothing to keep me interested, not even the promise of an epic space opera which I find too unbelievable and far removed from the possible.
Space battle does not play out like a battle in atmosphere with hard velocity changes and explosions. They just don’t. It is a pet peeve of mine but this time it was just the irritating background noise as the rest was also just so haphazard and hodgepodge.
The book was free, and I still couldn’t be bothered to finish it.
The narrator does a passable job, but the performance was not more than 3 stars. It might be because of the content but I don’t really care at this point.
