Titan bodyguard employee Bram is tasked with protecting rock singer Silver from a blackmailing record executive. Silver (whose real name is Sam) relocates to his small hometown in response to the threats of violence. This allows Bram and Sam time to fall in love.

The romantic parts of the story are great. Bram and Sam are sort of reconnecting, as both men are from the same small town. They go places together and have get-to-know-you conversations. When the sexy times come along, the scenes are loving and caring. I wish there had been more of this kind of interaction between the two of them.

The book centers on a suspense plot that I didn’t find very compelling. In fact, the resolution of the blackmail scheme is fairly implausible. The twist at the end is not believable at all, in my opinion.

Austin Jay does a nice job with narration.
