***Spoilers*** TL;DR – The author did a wonderful job, and the vocal cast was excellent. The sound production was great as well, I appreciated the leitmotif that was the sound of time passing whenever Vincent and the team moved on to a new chapter of their adventures, giving an audio byte a form of presence. To qualify my review title, a little backstory is necessary. I have been with my wife for going on eight years now, and Vince is exactly who I expect I’ll be in 50 years. If my wife passes first, assuming we’re both lucky enough to live that long, I’d wager my reaction would be identical to Vince’s. I see myself in the inner dialog, and in his commitment to honor Monica’s memory by not letting a copy replace her. I believe I know myself enough to say that I would absolutely struggle with moving on. I said all that to say that throughout this series I felt this story resonate with my soul. In the last chapters, I had tears streaming down my face. I don’t know about how others will like this story, but it was a perfect match for me. Thank you EA Hooper for this experience.
