I have been following the webcomic of this title quite recently and I must admit that the art form surpasses the written form as the artist was able to inject the range of emotions; anger, anguish, dismay, tears of happiness, humour, etc., when the need calls for it. Also, while the latter needs to cut to various people offering their respective perspective, the former was able to express a synergized view with just a couple of panels.
I literally cried when Arthur contacted his parents through Rinia Darcassan’s deviant powers and when Arthur met the Twin Horns, years after the accident which separated them. I just couldn’t get that emotional attachment with the audiobook.
The chapter where Arthur led Tessia back to Elenoir, the webcomic truly exhibits the journey the both of them went through and how Tess grew to trust Art irrevocably.
Nonetheless, the audiobook does offer slivers of new information that complements the narrative. The audiobooks are already in book 7 while the webcomic have just started with book 3. I could not resist but to buy the audiobooks in order for me to continue the journey.
