In the first black ocean books when we first meet Esper I couldn’t stand her. She was self righteous and whiny. I wasn’t gonna listen to any of the books that were solely about her, but I had run out of books to spend my credits on and when this one came out with all the stories together I figured I’d give it a go. I was about to return it because it starts out with her being the same self righteous whiny person she was in the first books. But once I got past I’ll say the first half of the book she changes because of some events that happen (I don’t want to give spoilers) but it gets much better after that. She even turns into someone you can actually like and root for. Over all this is a good listen worth the credit and I’m glad I stuck it out till the end!
