To be honest I go into these types of books with a pretty low bar, and I don’t finish a lot of them. This book in particular I was very much pleasantly surprised with. I’d say the writing is around the quality of another cultivation book, A Thousand Li. The setting is alright, but I think the sci-fi implementation was kinda clunky and required a lot of hand waving and suspension of disbelief. However I’m sure a lot of people wouldn’t mind it. Other parts of the book were quite good, the character development in particular. Very few 2D characters here and no harem. I’d say that for now it is somewhat weak on actual cultivation, I can remember like 1 or 2 brief scenes. Overall impressed, I think the book accomplishes what it sets out to do.
