Classic story of a rock star who falls for his bodyguard with a bit of a hometown twist. Like most bodyguard stories there is a threat looming, but in this story there’s no mystery as to who the bad guy is, and ethical concerns of crossing from a professional relationship to a romantic one. The heat level is fairly low, but sweet. There’s a nice twist where the MCs are from the same hometown and had a run in as kids. The narrator had good inflection, but his voice really didn’t seem to fit the story, especially for Silver. Silver’s character seemed a lot more sassy than he sounded. I probably would have enjoyed the story a lot more with a different narrator. It was also really hard to tell the MCs apart, which was confusing.
