While this book is a refutation of the claims of climate alarmists, Bjorn Lomborg is no climate-change denier. His book relies on the findings of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). He believes that the climate is changing, causing global temperatures to rise; that human activity is a primary cause of climate change; and that climate change will have negative consequences for mankind. But the author does not believe that there is a climate emergency or that life on the planet will end if we don’t drastically reduce CO2 emissions. Mr. Lomborg explains why climate change is bad, how our current efforts to combat it are inefficient and ineffective, and how other measures could better help both limit climate change and ameliorate its effects on mankind. Jim Seybert’s narration is spot on and easy to listen to. This title is highly recommended for anyone concerned about the environment.
