What a great story. As a CIS straight individual I found the struggles and concerns of the trans and homosexual characters interesting. This is a good way to express them, because less liberally minded individuals can tell themselves it’s a sci-fi.
Besides that obvious part, the story was engaging, fun, and had my caring about the characters. I look forward to other books in the series.
