I quit. i couldn’t take any more. All of the female characters are moody, half-insane bitches on super pms. The main character is a spineless half-wit who could not manage his own bathroom trips let alone a fledgling crime syndicate. The entire premise is just dumb. I try to stay away from fantasy books. I don’t find them generally appealing. I thought this being a scifi/fastasy that it would be ok. I was very wrong. I don’t mind a good fantasy movie or series if it is done intelligently but I have a low tolerance for stupid stories. You can only accomplish so much with smooth talking and luck and nobody is as stupid as Carl Ramsey and yet somehow, though pure luck and a glib tongue, he always manages to squeeze out of a situation that would be lethal to a real person who had his personality traits and lack of brains. Enough is enough.
