It is very hard to to follow up on a good story, but CT Phipps does it almost perfectly here. Building off the events of Book 1, it is a near perfect transition into Derek’s new adventure. This is do to the addition of new characters into the well built world, that blends and meshes well together to continue the story in a way that does not seem forced like many sequels. The only thing that would make this a better book would be a 1.5 edition that better segways into the actual monster world instead running straight into it.
definitely recommend this to anyone into “realistic fantasy”.
