I feel as though Westfield really mailed this one in. The plot is non existent and goes nowhere. The gang all go on separate, ludicrous missions for no reason. Then the villain throws away his whole empire to punish a guy he’s never met before. While I typically enjoy these short books by Westfield, this one is a total let down. The whole time hop thing is annoying also, instead of telling about Sadie’s awkward return the book just ends. Months later everyone is well, and healthy baby is born. Pierce is great as usual.
