The premise is good but you can definitely can tell the author is new and operating off of stream of thought writing because the story just has no structure or logical progression. Also there are long stretches where the audiobook sounds like a pokedex just reading statistics. I am ok with levels statistics and abilities but the author must find a way to make them organic with the world. It seems that most dialogue is people reading their character sheets and comparing notes. The author also does not have a sense for laying focus on what is interesting to the reader for example why is the leader who did the acension ceremony out to get him, what did his parents do and why. The things he does choose to focus on are all based on the protagonists character sheet. Midway through the book another character is added named Sift who seems to be more powerful, capable and interesting than the protagonist and you are left wondering why he isn’t the protagonist. I read a ton of litrpg and even enjoy most bad litrpg but this just can’t hold my attention at all and seems to accentuate what is most off-putting in this genre.
