I was so excited to try out a new author and I love dark, twisted heroes. I haven’t read a ton of cartel books but they are quickly becoming a new favorite of mine. Blurred Red Lines is book one in the Carrera Cartel series and I found myself getting invested in the story early on. As with a lot of these kind of books, I think they start off a little confusing as they try to suck you in with a lot of action and you figure out early on that you definitely cannot trust anyone as everyone is not who they seem and everyone has their own agenda.

My heart went out to Eden due to the loss she suffered which ultimately set her on the path she went in this book. I do think despite the circumsances of how the relatiosnhip started, Eden and Val had some seriously hot chemistry. The book was chock full of action, drama, betrayal and I found myself dying to know how the story was going to play out and if there was going to be a decently happy ending considering all of the trouble throughout the book. I enjoyed the author’s writing style and cannot wait to read the next book in the series!!!

Brian Pallino, Sarah Puckett and Alan Carlson completely nailed it with the narration of this story. I love Sarah Puckett as a narrator and just find her voice incredibly pleasant to listen to and I think she does a great job evoking emotion throughout a story. I also really enjoyed the accent thoughout the story for Val. I think the narration was fabulous!!! #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock
