It’s a solid continuation of the story. I hate when characters act out of character to drive the story or create tension. The characters have remained mostly true. One exception possibly being the decision to fight the enemy in their own stronghold towards the end(trying not to spoil). Our MC has a long monologue about not wanting to lose human lives, but starts the most deadly battle they have faced. There’s plenty of action. The fight sequences have been very formulaic to this point in the story. Get in a fight, get hurt, lose a few humans, mourn the loss. That’s the standard for almost every encounter. Maybe don’t kill a couple of people every fight and the reader would actually feel the loss? Good book though and I’ll certainly get the next. 90/100.
