Ill start by saying, if you liked the first one, you will be pleasantly surprised this is that, but better. The performer, calms down and is way better this one which I find a huge improvement from not forcing dramatic moments and great voice acting.
I saw other reviews, about no character building and “nothing happens.” I have no idea, what book they just read. Yerin and Lindon bond with ups and downs, and new characters come and complicate things. It does not travel far and wide as far as places go, but there is one thing you have to consider. This is a “season 2” of a series.. or show for example. This is NOT a separate book, which is long and has a new start/finish to it’s own story. If you look at it this way, it will prepare you for the mindset. Which is a valid complaint you see, and I agree, is the book is “short” for the $ tag. But in NO WAY, is the book bad and leaves you wanting much much more. I love the direction, ending, and everything about this book. Im on to book 3.
