Wow. This book is amazing (special edition prequel and book 1). Ryan Schow has upped his game to a whole new level. I have to say I think this is one of my new favorite series. No doubt this is due to how closely what he’s writing about mirrors what’s going on in our society. As we fall ever so quickly into a socialist/ communist society, one can see what happens in this book happening here. By going this direction, and away from the EMP survival series (nothing wrong with that at all), he’s upping his game. He’s talking about an invasion, and America as a totalitarian communist state. This is very 1984, with surveillance at every turn. So with this, anyone in resistance to the state is an enemy and shot on spot. He even references America as it was in 2019…so it’s getting REAL.

Logan is the central character, one who starts out as unwilling participant to the resistance to one actively involved. There are endless possibilities. Also kudos to Ryan for keeping the language clean and keeping the focus on the story. All in all, this is most impressive, and my respect for Ryan Schow just shot through the roof.

Kevin Pierce knocks your socks off. Without him, you don’t have the urgency in the story. He’s great when paired with Schow, but never have the two been paired better than here. This is the best of the best.
