The story was ok though with a few major flaws with world-building. The main character joins an underground augmented reality MMO that was banned by the government but still has a widespread dedicated player base. The game gives each player two powerful generals to start off, chosen at random, then you can catch monsters that spawn randomly through the arg, similar to pokemon go. All of this was fine but when it gets into the multiplayer and economy aspect of the game is where the holes show up. The cost of entering the game was 20k+ as access codes are rare but within a few weeks the main character without really grinding very hard was making hundreds of dollars if not thousands of dollars.

Jeff Hays and Annie Ellicott as usual do a great job with the preformance and the addition of the music was a nice addition, nothing I would listen to outside of the book but did add some flavor and variety.

Overall I would reccomend this book to people that enjoy light LitRPGs with little depth but enjoyable characters.
