I first read this book about three years ago and was now surprised to find that I hadn’t left a review. I shall remedy that. Lauren is such a unique and complex character. Her actions and behavior are inconsistent, at times appearing contradictory, yet her moral compass and strong desire to learn keep her on the right path. The skills and abilities nurtured by her father since childhood have produced one dependable, conscientious, and capable female lead. Kate L. Mary would love her. ? The community at Trout Run Valley no longer enjoy the privacy of their remote valley. The rock slide across the highway that blocked the main entrance into the valley has been re-opened. And a sizable biker gang plan on looting…er, staying a while. We’ll follow along as the folks in Trout Run Valley get familiar with their new neighbors.
