Too much build up

This was book 4.

The build up is taking too long.

The ending was an insult to the reader And our money. He’s awesome for 17 pages at the end, then he’s treated like shit and the book ends. There were 100+ witnesses to him heroically saving everyone, including royalty from the elves and humans. I’m not buying a 5th book just to have it reversed OR upheld. You can’t generate a fake cliffhanger and expect more money
