This series is so good. And the third book just builds on the second. Wes is able to save his dog Raider, but relationships get complicated in the PA world. After a narrow escape in book two, Wes is dealing with the complicated feelings of being forced to kill Jessica’s dad. And the relationship…complicated. Somehow Boyd Craven has been able to bring a relationship/ relationship triangle into the PA. But things just continue to get more complicated and rival groups continue to close in. And they’re not friendly. Kudos to Craven for making this book engaging, without getting too gritty. We all know things will really be as bad as possible in a PA world, but it’s important to making the fiction escapist too. A nice balance is struck here.
Kevin Pierce couldn’t be better. He elevates everything he narrates. It just doesn’t get better. Can’t wait for the next book with the Flagg crew.
