In general, I don’t like books based on games because they seem to be derivatives of derivatives, often lacking in depth or insights that help me to engage more satisfyingly to life. This book had some character development in it, but not so much.
It was creative, fairly well written, and fairly fresh, which made it fun.
On the con side, I found the sound effects sometimes distracting. I prefer books to be books, not productions. That being said, this so-called book contained some original music it was well done and quite cute. I liked the fun little songs, if not the background noise.
